As a matter of fact, Satinal has heightened its competitiveness in 2025, driven by a series of strategic advancements in its STRATO® EVA interlayers production line. The Italian company has been focusing on global market engagement, facility expansion, and technological innovation to firmly establish its position internationally.
Expanding creative horizons with STRATO® EVA COLOUR
A key pillar of Satinal's strategy has been the introduction of new shades to its STRATO® EVA COLOUR range. This expansion aims to meet the diverse and complex design requirements of contemporary global architectural projects. By offering an increased palette of colours, Satinal has been aligning its STRATO® EVAs with current aesthetic trends, providing architects and designers flexibility in their use of laminated safety glass.
Global presence and Italian expertise
Satinal continues its commitment to being close to its clientele worldwide through a constant presence at selected international trade shows. This platform allows the company to both showcase its product innovations and high standards associated with Italian savoir-faire in the industry.
This global engagement is bolstered by significant new partnerships, such as collaborations with laminators involved in major projects like the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, underscoring Satinal's role in supplying high-quality interlayers for sport initiatives. Furthermore, the company is significantly enhancing its international footprint with the opening of a new office and showroom in São Paulo, Brazil.
The new São Paulo facility serves as a central hub for Satinal's operations in South America, offering a dedicated space for sales, customer service, and technical support. Crucially, the integrated showroom provides an immersive experience for clients, allowing them to explore STRATO® EVA interlayers for safety glass lamination firsthand and witness the quality and performance that define the brand.
Satinal also announced the upcoming opening of a new facility in the Bari area of Southern Italy. This new factory will significantly enhance Satinal's logistic efficiency in the Southern Italian regions. The key objective is to provide customers with quick deliveries and dedicated local technical assistance for STRATO® EVA interlayers, thereby expanding the distribution network and ensuring high-quality products are more readily available throughout the area.
Operational expansion
To support its growing market demand and product development, Satinal undertook a significant restructuring and expansion of its production facilities to more efficiently accommodate the increased production volume.
Technologically, the company moved forward with the introduction of a new co-extrusion line for the production of EVA, POE, and EPE encapsulants for solar panels and tri-layer acoustic interlayers for architectural glass. Additionally, recognizing the industry trend towards larger architectural elements, Satinal is introducing the production of STRATO® EVA CLEAR rolls up to 2.800mm in width, providing laminators with materials suitable for big glass applications.
Finally, Satinal has started developing engaging 3D product videos. These realistic visual tools offer customers a comprehensive understanding of Satinal products’ potential.
These investments in product, presence, and production capacity demonstrate Satinal's resolve to face global competition and drive innovation. Satinal is challenging the status quo in the global interlayer market to further solidify its strong presence across the architectural and design markets globally, proving that Italian high-quality, flexible, and sustainable manufacturing can thrive in Europe against international competitors.
