PrivaStar® is a laminated glass, with a minimum of two clear or colored sheets of glass and a liquid crystal film, assembled between at least two plastic interlayers, that instantly turn glass from translucent and transparent and vice versa, allowing privacy at all time, providing full protection from undesirable looks.

Electrically heated glass is a special type of treated glass to which a transparent electrically conductive coating has been applied. The electric current passes through cables on this coating, generating heat and causing the glass to begin radiating heat.

The intensity of the heat can differ; it depends on the final application. The glass can be single laminated glass or integrated into a double or triple insulating glass unit.

Formator Safety Glass regularly supplies laminated glass for special applications such as glass floors and stairs, point-fixed glazings, glass roofs, balustrades and handrails.

These applications all have structural loading conditions very different from those for conventional architectural glass and therefore require careful consideration. Because of this special recommandations, a high lever of precision and quality are mandatory.

Formator also produces heat-strenghtened glass with dimensions up to 2400 x 4500 mm, which is also the maximum dimension of screen-printing.
