As demand for high-performance glass grows, processors face mounting pressure to increase output, reduce costs and manage an ever-wider product mix.

At GlassBuild America, Glaston is showcasing its full portfolio of automation solutions spanning tempering, lamination, insulating and mobility glass manufacturing, each built to help processors not just keep pace, but lead.

TEMPERING. AUTOMATED.

Glaston is bringing intelligent automation and real-time quality control to the entire tempering workflow, from loading through output monitoring.

  • Glaston Autopilot is the only fully automatic tempering solution. Operators enter just three inputs: glass type, thickness and process mode and the system delivers consistent, predictable output every cycle, with minimal training and full scalability.
  • Glaston AutoLoad combines intelligent batch planning with automated execution. The Batch Optimizer calculates the most efficient loading patterns, while Automatic Loading runs them with precision, reducing missed loadings, manual handling and safety risks.
  • Online Stress Calculation (OSC™) is the only online solution that verifies, in real time, that every pane is properly tempered. It calculates surface stress and mid-pane tension for Clear and Low-E glass and provides an accurate fragmentation estimate, automatically enforcing operator-set stress standards and supporting lower energy use.
  • Glaston Anisotropy Control is a specialized quench nozzle design paired with automation that minimizes stopping marks, producing clearer, more visually consistent glass for architectural and premium applications.

All automation features are available as upgrades to Glaston tempering lines.

LAMINATING. AUTOMATED.

Glaston's lamination lineup covers everything from high-throughput standard laminates to the most demanding multilayer builds.

  • Glaston ProL SPEED is the world's fastest mixed-production laminating line, with the lowest energy consumption and highest yield across the widest product mix, from singlesheet laminates to complex multi-interlayer constructions.
  • Glaston Autotrim automatically trims all four edges of every laminate sandwich and transfers it to the furnace, with waste foil handled by a dedicated conveyor, no manual handling, no material lost to missed cuts.
  • Glaston Convection Control is patented hardware-and-software technology that processes complex laminates, including multilayer SentryGlas®, fully automatically at the same capacity and yield as standard PVB laminates. Upgradable to existing Glaston ProL furnaces.

INSULATING. AUTOMATED.

Renovation and new-build projects increasingly call for triple-glazed units that are lighter, slimmer and more thermally efficient than conventional lines can deliver.

  • Glaston ULTRA TPS®, automatic manufacturing of thin triple and quadruple IGUs with center panes as thin as 0.5 mm, a world first. Thin triple IGUs offer up to 20% higher insulation at the same thickness and weight as traditional double IGUs, and the line can run both traditional and thin TPS® configurations in mixed mode.
  • Glaston TPS® PRO'APPLICATOR, a master-master drum pump and patented follower plate, enables uninterrupted production with up to 35% higher output, plus automatic thickness adjustment and the market's shortest corner-bevel joint. It handles double-, triple-, and quadruple-IGUs across spacer widths of 6–27 mm and multilayer applications up to 36 mm.
  • Glaston MUNTIN'MASTER and Cobot is the only fully automated solution for muntin bar positioning in TPS® IGUs, with an optional cobot extension for automatic bar feeding, eliminating the last manual touchpoint and supporting both EU and US specifications.

MOBILITY. AUTOMATED.

Glaston MATRIX EVO brings industry-leading bending technology to OEM and ARG processors, mastering complex windshield shapes and curved sunroofs. Convection heating ensures a uniform temperature across clear, printed, or coated glass for better optical quality and shorter cycles, while modular architecture lets processors add preheating, bending, cooling, or press sections as volume grows. A Beckhoff-based control system manages recipes, factory integration, production data and maintenance from a single interface.

Glaston CHAMP EVO is a modular cutting and grinding solution that adapts to the customer's plant layout, delivering a grinding allowance as small as 0.3 mm at high speed via direct-drive cutting and single-step cut-to-grind. A vibration-free polar grinder, automatic centering, 2D scanning and template-less breaking enable fast job changes. The Glaston CNC96 retrofit modernizes former Bystronic machines with new control systems while retaining existing mechanics, improving reliability and extending machine life at lower cost.
