High quality laminate needs not only an experienced processor, knowing well the process and understanding very well the behavior and interaction of ingredients during lamination but also premium quality ingredients - whether it is a combination of glass and interlayer or glass, interlayer and insert or just insert and interlayer (for special applications without glass).
Whether it is a premium PVB, SG or EVA interlayer, it has to be designed and fully certified for long term stability and durability for structural applications like facades, overhead glazing or balustrades. Or designed for use in open edge applications in moist or severe climatic conditions. Or designed for better process-ability with premium and very often very expensive inserts such as stone veneers, liquid crystal films, metals or metallized meshes.
