Explore Saflex™ and Vanceva™ interlayers to see, touch, experience and even influence what’s next at Hall 11, Booth A48.

Since 1938, Saflex from Eastman has been developing interlayer technologies for architectural and automotive glazing. At glasstec 2026, Oct. 20–23 in Düsseldorf, Eastman will show how it continues to innovate by highlighting Saflex and Vanceva PVB interlayers designed to support safety, sustainability, comfort and design flexibility in laminated glass through interactive demonstrations and visual displays.

Architectural glazing

Architectural glazing must address more than one priority. From reducing embodied carbon to protecting people and wildlife, Saflex and Vanceva PVB interlayers can help architectural glass meet today's building priorities. At glasstec, Eastman will show how these solutions bring sustainability, security and design together.

Eastman's sustainability focus helps customers specify with confidence. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) verified by an independent third party cover the Saflex and Vanceva portfolio, from clear and acoustic to solar, structural and color interlayers, and many products also hold Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health certificates at the Silver level.

Saflex LiteCarbon™ Clear builds on that commitment. It is designed to reduce embodied carbon by 37% and is now available in two thicknesses, with its product footprint documented in a third-party-verified EPD. *

Laminated glass made with Saflex interlayers for security applications will also be on display, showing how Saflex and Vanceva products can help glazing meet security requirements without compromising other building performance needs.

Eastman will also offer a first look at what’s next for Saflex FlySafe™ 3D and explore how bird-friendly glazing can be applied with confidence across complex building designs.

The future of architectural glazing is full of possibilities. Visit Eastman’s booth to imagine new concepts, explore potential applications and discuss the ideas that spark your interest.

Automotive glazing

Today’s vehicle designs require glass to do more, from creating quieter, cooler EV cabins to supporting highperformance cameras and next-generation displays in windshields. In Eastman's automotive area, interactive demonstrations let visitors see and feel how Saflex interlayers help meet those demands.

The area features solutions from Saflex Evoca™, Eastman's interlayer platform for electric vehicles, and shows how glazing can deliver more than one benefit. For movable side windows, Saflex Evoca RSL offers acoustic performance and increased stiffness to support lighter glazing designs. Advanced solar solutions for sidelites help manage heat and improve cabin comfort, a difference visitors can feel firsthand. The possibilities expand further with panoramic sunroofs, where Saflex Evoca XIR.SR and concepts such as dynamic glazing demonstrate how multiple functions can come together to meet evolving performance and design needs.

Glass is also becoming a gateway for information. Saflex Horizon Vision, a variable-angle wedge interlayer for windshields, is designed to support clearer ADAS camera perception and sharper head-up display images.

Looking ahead, Eastman will share its work on holographic optical element (HOE) technology, aimed at enabling bright, crisp, transparent displays in automotive-approved laminated glass.

“For more than 85 years, we’ve worked alongside the glass industry to advance what architectural and automotive interlayers can do,” said Kurt Buyse, general manager of advanced interlayers at Eastman. “We look forward to welcoming visitors to glasstec to experience our latest technologies firsthand and explore what we can create together.”
