Cardinal invests in proven quality control solution. Partners with FeneTech and implements the FeneVision Line Scanner.

Louisville, Kentucky based shower enclosure and commercial storefront company Cardinal Shower Enclosures has recently implemented the FeneVision LineScanner at their tempering facility with the overall goal of improving their manufacturing processes by comprehensively tracking errors and imperfections and producing a higher quality product.

As one of the largest domestic shower enclosure manufacturers, Cardinal is an industry leader in this growing market. Its parent company Hoskin & Muir, Inc., founded in 1948 as an aluminum extrusion company, branched into the shower enclosure market in 1995 when their founder, the late Don Ross, saw an opportunity to expand.

Since its founding, Cardinal Shower Enclosures has grown exponentially, adding its own tempering facility in 2007 and a commercial division in 2013. The company credits their unmatched growth in large part to Don Ross’ commitment to customer service.

Frequently heard around Cardinal is Don’s axiom, “Treat your customers as you would a great friend.” That commitment to customer service helped build Cardinal into the industry leader they are today, and it continues to fuel their growth.

That growth has ushered in an increase in production, creating the need for more efficient processes and better quality control leading Cardinal to the FeneVision LineScanner powered by Austrian engineering firm Softsolution.

According to Loren Powell, Cardinal’s data administrator handling the implementation, the FeneVision LineScanner enables Cardinal to quantify imperfections, errors and trends and provide historical data that is key to detecting and correcting potential problems internally.

This allows Cardinal to maintain their high standards of quality and customer service. Because of the LineScanner’s speed, its addition to their production process does not affect overall production or lead times.

This allows Cardinal to improve quality, efficiency and accuracy while simultaneously improving customer trust and increasing overall sales.

Cardinal is excited to partner with such a trusted, solutions-oriented company with a true understanding of tempering processes and who can provide the needed support to foster their continued growth.

Helping to guide Cardinal through their continued growth is Aurora, Ohio ERP software company FeneTech, Inc. FeneTech’s Nate Huffman is excited about the partnership with Cardinal.

“FeneTech has provided solutions to the fenestration industry for over two decades, and along with our partners at Softsolution, we are continually investing in advancements in technology that will result in unparalleled customer experiences. We are looking forward to strengthening our relationship with Cardinal and working alongside them to produce the highest quality product.”
