The JaBee Tower, which has been erected in the town of Dübendorf (Switzerland), is currently the highest residential building in Switzerland. It was designed by the Swiss company sattlerpartner architekten+planer.

The elliptically shaped tower with a slanting roof measures an impressive 100 metres in height and, over 31 stories, provides space for 218 rental apartments, two owner-occupied apartments and a commercial area used by four parties. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Alps – either from your own balcony or through the floor-to-ceiling windows. All apartment windows and French windows have been designed with coated triple insulating glass made of laminated safety glass due to the exposed location. The SILVERSTAR EN2plus thermal coating combines modern energy efficiency and a very high light transmission with outstanding colour neutrality.

The highlight is the partition walls between the balconies with their fascinating rainbow effect. Due to their mounting at an angle of 90° to the outside wall, these glass partitions – 210 in total – change their colour to blue, magenta or yellow/gold, depending on the light incidence. 25-millimetre-thick semi-transparent SWISSLAMEX VSG with EUROFLOAT was chosen to achieve this effect, with laminated Dichroic Chill glass finish film from 3M.
