This year, from October 20th to 22nd, the international glass industry will not meet personally in Düsseldorf, but instead, online: at "glasstec VIRTUAL", the event’s new digital network platform. The glasstec VIRTUAL showroom will become the most important point of contact for potential customers and decision-makers from the glass industry. Over 750 exhibitors will present their products, solutions and applications; and Trosifol will, of course, be there.
Live, real-time web sessions from the exhibitors will be a highlight of the event, and Trosifol will deliver two: “Designing with laminated glass interlayers” on October 20th at 3pm and “Designing Hurricane-resistant glazing systems” on October 21st at 3.40pm.
The first session describes laminated safety glass, its advantages, its main applications and the special challenges that are placed on modern glazing. In addition, different glass interlayers are compared and the particular advantages of ionoplast films are discussed.
The hurricane session covers the use glass in building envelopes, which is supposed to withstand forces of windborne debris. What influence do strong storms, rain and flying debris have on building facades, and how must the components - especially the glass - be designed and fabricated to withstand it?
A clear short film will also give an overall impression of the various Trosifol products.
Trosifol will also take part in the event’s matchmaking. The matchmaking tool is ideal when you need to stay in close contact during and after glasstec VIRTUAL. By querying special areas of interest and exploiting extensive filter functions, it enables direct contact with potential customers and partners. After the appointment has been made, personal conversations between exhibitors and customers can be carried out in a virtual room via audio or video:
