During an exceptionally challenging period in history, we have had the opportunity to collaborate with a Ukrainian glass processing company and support its business through our solutions and services.

“EDL GLASS” is a modern glass processing company specializing in the production of high-performance insulating glass units and a wide range of processed and safety glass products. Its capabilities include toughened and laminated glass, enamelled glass, engraving, various types of edge processing and other specialized glass treatments. The company is very young and actively invests in new technologies and highly skilled professionals.

The collaboration between RCN and EDL GLASS began at Vitrum 2025 and continued with a visit to RCN’s facilities, followed by detailed discussions about EDL GLASS’s production requirements. This process resulted in an order for a fully automatic LIA 4+4 laminating machine, which was delivered in July and installed remotely with the support of EDL GLASS’s professional technical team.

The machine configuration includes two independent laminating chambers and a lateral storage unit with four additional shelves, integrated into a fully automated production loop.

EDL GLASS works in two shifts, and the machine operates with a high level of autonomy. Operators only need to enter the initial commands and load and unload the glass, while the short lamination cycle enabled by RCN’s REVA BF helps maintain efficient production.

But for “EDL GLASS”, working with a fully automated machine is not simply about reducing manual intervention. Their production organization is primarily focused on speed of service while maintaining the highest level of attention at every stage of production — without compromising on quality, which remains EDL GLASS’s top priority.
