The existing tempering furnace has been expanded with a bending unit.

In the future, it will also be possible to thermally bend glass at the Gersthofen location with a so-called C-bender (heat-strengthened glass and fully tempered glass).

Thanks to the expansion of the bending competence, it will be possible to bend formats up to 3.6m × 18m. Depending on the glass width, a min. radius of r=1,000mm can be achieved. With the help of the new technology, previous bending defects such as straight ends can also be remedied.
