Date: 6 July 2026
The 2026 AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (AIA26) was held on June 11–12 at the San Diego Convention Center. NorthGlass participated in the exhibition, showcasing its high-performance architectural glass and complex structural solutions. As one of the most influential annual events in the global architecture industry, the exhibition brought together architectural firms, material suppliers, and engineering consultants from around the world, with a focus on high-performance building materials, complex façade systems, and sustainable technologies.
At this year's event, NorthGlass showcased its capabilities in pushing the boundaries of glass manufacturing and bringing complex architectural designs to life. The exhibits included suspended windows, J-shaped curved laminated glass, bullet-resistant glass, triangular glazed components, the Stone in Motion art installation, small glass tubes, as well as electric sliding doors and automated retractable skylights. Together, these displays demonstrated a comprehensive portfolio spanning engineering-grade products and decorative architectural glass.
Architects and design consultants engaged in in-depth discussions with the NorthGlass team, focusing on bending radius control for curved tempered glass, the structural stability of laminated assemblies, and engineering solutions for ultra-large glass panels. They carefully noted technical specifications on site and requested related project case studies. At the same time, they expressed strong appreciation for NorthGlass's expertise in complex curved glass processing, ultra-large glass stability control, and the artistic potential of glass-based products.
From a technological development perspective, NorthGlass has made significant progress in three key areas in recent years: breakthroughs in complex curved glass technology, particularly in continuous curvature transitions and multi-dimensional surface consistency control; enhanced control over roller wave and flatness in ultra-large and ultra-thick glass; and substantial advances in the industrialization of glass art products, transforming traditionally handcrafted, non-standard creations into systematic, engineerable, and scalable solutions.
NorthGlass has long been active in the global high-end architectural market and has contributed to projects for renowned companies such as Google, Oracle, and Cartier, providing solutions including complex curved tempered glass and ultra-large, high-transparency curtain wall systems. This reflects the company's growing expertise in delivering customized high-end façades and implementing complex structural glazing solutions.
Throughout its development, NorthGlass has continuously expanded and integrated its technological capabilities in response to the increasing complexity of architectural glass applications. By further aligning material performance with structural engineering, the company's products are increasingly able to meet the evolving demands of contemporary architecture in terms of design freedom, structural safety, and large-scale implementation.
