JEB 3Seal™ Warm-Edge Spacer
SEND INQUIRY
The JEB 3Seal™ spacer is made from structural thermoset silicone and features triple-seal technology to meet the extreme demands of commercial glazing. With its no-metal design, the JEB 3Seal spacer has shock-absorbing properties that counteract glazing stresses caused by wind, while also minimizing thermal conductivity and enhancing condensation resistance.
More details ...

The JEB 3SEAL™ insulating glass spacer system is designed for the toughest commercial glazing demands. The spacer system is made from structural thermoset silicone with integral 3A desiccant and features a triple-seal design consisting of a pre-applied acrylic adhesive for spacer-to-glass bonding, a hot-applied captive polyisobutylene primary seal, and a two-part structural silicone secondary seal.

With its no-metal design, JEB 3SEAL has shock-absorbing properties that counteract glazing stresses caused by wind, snow, driving rain, fluctuating temperatures, and barometric pressure. In addition, JEB 3SEAL has minimal thermal conductivity, providing higher glass edge surface temperature, and a multi-layer vapor barrier to enhance condensation resistance.

JEB Fusion™ Laminated Glass
SEND INQUIRY
J.E. Berkowitz Laminated Glass is produced by sandwiching one or more layers of PVB or structural layer materials between multiple lites (two or more) of glass and applying a combination of heat and pressure to permanently “fuse” the layers together creating Fusion™ Laminated Glass, and SentryGlas®, all using Kuraray™ technology.

JEB Winduo™ Insulating Glass Units
SEND INQUIRY
JE Berkowitz’s Winduo™ Insulating Glass Units are two or more lites of glass separated and hermetically sealed to form a single-glazed unit with an air space between each lite (commonly called IG units). Winduo ™Insulating Glass Units conform to the highest level of the ASTM E2190 specifications.
More details ...

Fabrication of Insulating Glass Units is accomplished on three automatic vertical insulating lines with the distinct advantages of:

  • On-line edge deletion to ensure proper sealant adhesion
  • On-line argon gas filling
  • Grey and Black primary and secondary sealants
  • Warm edge technology airspacers
  • Standard clear and black airspacers
JEB Temperfect™ Heat-Treated Glass
SEND INQUIRY
J.E. Berkowitz has three state-of-the-art horizontal tempering ovens that produce the highest quality of heat strengthened and fully tempered glass. Our heat-treated glass meets and exceeds the ASTM standard and is individually tested by SGCC. Intended uses - specify safety glazing and/or increased strength for mechanical, thermal or deflection purposes.
More details ...

Heat-strengthened glass is flat glass that has been heat treated to have a surface compression between 3,500 and 7,500 psi (24 to 52 MPa) which is twice the surface compression of annealed glass and meets the requirements of ASTM C 1048. It is intended for general glazing, where additional strength is desired to withstand wind loads and thermal stresses. However, heat-strengthened glass is not a safety glazing material.

Fully tempered glass is flat glass that has been heat-treated to have a minimum surface compression of 10,000 psi (69MPa) resulting in resistance to impact of approximately four times that of annealed glass. Fully tempered glass will meet the requirements of ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201 and is considered a safety glazing material.

Quality Specification:

Roller-wave distortion for 1/4″ glass – JEBs internal target is to maintain a limit of .003 peak to valley, excluding the lead and trail edges (10”) with an allowable .008”. Industry guideline for 1/4″ heat-treated glass suggest a tolerance of not to exceed .006” peak to valley, excluding the lead and trail edges (10”) with an allowable .010”.

Bow and Warp for 1/4″ glass can be targeted not to exceed 1/32″ per lineal foot.
