The software company A+W of Pohlheim was one of the three finalists in the “World Market Leader” category.

88 Hessian companies vied for the title “Hessen-Champions” this year. “Hessen-Champions” is a competition run by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, the VhU (Association of Hessian Entrepreneurs’ Associations), and the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Hessen, led by Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH (HTAI).

The jury selected 10 finalists from among the 88 applicants. Minister President Bouffier, Economics Minister Al-Wazir, Wolf Matthias Mang (President of the (VhU)), and Jürgen Zabel (CEO of the MBG H Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Hessen mbH) selected the winners in the categories World Market Leader, Job Motor, and Innovation on Tuesday in Wiesbaden.

The awards were presented to the winners and finalists on October 26th in the presence of 700 invited guests, with strict hygiene precautions – the motto was “New competitive strength with sportsmanship.” The software company A+W of Pohlheim was one of the three finalists in the “World Market Leader” category. “An award about which we are very pleased,” says A+W CEO Peter Dixen.

A+W was denied the “gold medal” by another middle Hessian company, but that didn’t spoil the joy of the A+W employees – for now the prize can be admired in the entry area of its Pohlheim headquarters.
