The 36th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition will be held from May 24 to 27, 2027, at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) in Beijing.

Organized by the Chinese Ceramic Society, preparations for the exhibition have officially commenced, and the booth reservation channel has been simultaneously opened via the official website and WeChat platform.

With over forty years of development, the China Glass Exhibition has become one of the most influential and largest-scale professional exhibitions in the global glass industry. In April 2026, the 35th China Glass Exhibition was successfully held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, covering a total exhibition area of over 90,000 square meters and attracting 889 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions. The exhibition received 147,575 professional visitors from 138 countries and regions worldwide, ranking among the top global industry events in both scale and visitor attendance, solidifying its status as one of the most significant professional gatherings in the global glass sector.

The 36th China Glass Exhibition will move to Beijing and use all halls of the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall), making it the flagship professional event with the largest exhibition space and the most comprehensive industrial chain coverage in the global glass industry in 2027. It is expected to attract over a thousand leading enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. The exhibition will comprehensively cover all segments of the industrial chain, including glass products and auxiliary materials, new energy and information display glass, intelligent deep-processing equipment, new refractory materials, intelligent inspection systems, and daily-use and artistic glass.

Currently, the global glass industry is accelerating its deep transformation toward high-end, intelligent, and green development, with the industrial landscape undergoing profound reshaping. Against the backdrop of China's deepening "dual carbon" strategy and the policy direction of "new quality productive forces," glass has evolved from a traditional building material to a cornerstone of strategic emerging industries—information display glass underpins the hardware foundation of smart terminals and the digital economy; new energy power-generation glass drives building-integrated photovoltaics and the clean energy transition; specialty functional glass serves cutting-edge fields such as aerospace and biomedical applications; and smart optoelectronic glass redefines architectural aesthetics and interactive experiences. The market demand for these high-value-added products is becoming a key engine driving a new round of industry development.

In line with industry transformation, the 36th China Glass Exhibition will focus on the following highly promising niche segments:

Innovative glass products and auxiliary materials: covering next-generation products such as ultra-thin flexible glass, glass-ceramics, lightweight automotive glass, energy-efficient insulating and vacuum glass, as well as upgraded supporting materials like high-performance inks, interlayers, and sealants.

New energy and information display glass: highlighting perovskite photovoltaic glass and cadmium telluride power-generation glass.

Intelligent deep-processing equipment and system solutions: integrating AI vision inspection, robotic flexible processing, laser drilling and cutting, digital tempering furnaces, and other smart equipment, alongside MES and ERP integrated solutions for glass deep-processing scenarios.

New refractory materials and energy-efficient combustion technologies: covering low-thermal-conductivity insulation materials, oxy-fuel/oxygen-enriched combustion technologies, regenerative heat exchange systems, and more, to support deep energy savings and low-carbon emissions in glass furnaces.

Full-process digitalization and smart factory construction: from raw material batching simulation and melting furnace digital twins to intelligent control of forming and annealing processes, as well as automated warehousing and logistics, building a data-driven management system for the entire lifecycle of glass manufacturing.

Creative design and applications of daily-use and artistic glass: focusing on lead-free crystal glass, glass artworks, decorative laminated and stained glass, and their integrated innovation and value enhancement in lifestyle aesthetics, commercial spaces, and cultural tourism scenarios.

In addition, the Fair will particularly strengthen collaborative innovation mechanisms across the upstream and downstream industrial chains, facilitating precise alignment between raw material supply, equipment manufacturing, production applications, and end markets, while accelerating the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, as well as the commercialization of achievements. Concurrently, multiple high-level technical lectures and industry summits will be held, inviting renowned domestic and international experts, scholars, and industry leaders to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as zero-carbon building and green building material policies, best practices for smart factories, cutting-edge breakthroughs in functional glass materials, and carbon footprint accounting in the glass industry.

At present, the preparations for the 36th China Glass Exhibition are progressing in an orderly manner. We sincerely invite global glass industry professionals to gather in Beijing in May 2027 to join this grand industry event and collectively chart a new blueprint for the high-quality development of the glass industry.
