I would like to talk a bit about my company. Two years ago, I joined the GPD conference, and it was very important for us to build our network. Back then, we presented a new technology for chemical speed strengthening. And now, after two years, we are much more developed.
We have built our own company in Freiberg, near Dresden. We have installed a machine and laboratory equipment, and now we are taking the next evolutionary step.
Speed strengthening means that with our process, we can have the ion exchange in glass in minutes. Not anymore in hours. And this is revolutionary.
The negative point is that with the state-of-the-art machines, we always have an interruption in the production process. But our technology can be integrated into a continuous production process. However, suitable machines must be developed.
That’s why I’m here: to present our next evolutionary development.
Together with our strategic partners, we develop the pilot plants. But the next step is the industrial machines that will make it possible to apply our technology in a continuous production process.
Two years ago, the name of the company was 2MH Glas. We had this company to bring this technology as a license model in the industry. A bit later, the same founder founded ReViSalt GmbH. ReViSalt means revitalization of salt.
In this company, we had also developed a technology to regenerate the salt bath needed for the ion exchange process. With this technology, we can expand the lifetime of the used salt, which helps us to save money for the customers. In addition, after usage of this material, they can send it back. And we can use this as a new raw material, which contributes to sustainability.
So in combination with the speed hardening process, we have two technologies, which is a very big step in the glass industry.
After only a short time we existed, we had our first customer who brought our technology into the industry. The disadvantages – the glass industry is very conservative, and progress requires more time than initially planned.
