As previously announced, Satinal has been installing Europe's first co-extrusion line for producing advanced EVA, POE, and EPE encapsulants for solar panels and tri-layer acoustic interlayers for architectural glass.

This new line, located at the company's headquarters in Erba, Italy, is a major milestone for both Satinal and the European solar industry.

The co-extrusion technology is revolutionary because it allows Satinal to combine multiple polymeric materials into a single, multi-layered product, enhancing properties like adhesion, durability, and UV resistance. This is particularly crucial for improving the longevity and efficiency of photovoltaic modules. The new line also supports the production of STRATO® acoustic interlayers, a tri-layer film designed to offer superior sound insulation for architectural applications.

This installation is the first of four planned expansions for the STRATO® Solar PV Encapsulants division, with the next lines scheduled to come online later this year. This ambitious project underscores Satinal's commitment to innovation and its leadership in manufacturing high-performance products for the solar and architectural glass markets.
