Description:

The Swiss watch manufacturer’s museum twists up in a spiral that emerges from the ground. The architects from BIG and the structural engineers from Lüchinger+Meyer have created a sculptural building with an ambitiously demanding structure and facade.

Despite the severe loading and weather conditions as well as high demands in the glass surface quality the load bearing glass structure and facade has been developed with multiple layered annealed glass built ups. The webinar focused on the chosen materials and surfaces as well as on the project facade and glass tectonics.
