First, modulus values are now in-line with the revised product technical sheets that were published earlier in 2020.

The basis for calculation has shifted from shear storage modulus to shear relaxation modulus. This shift makes the data more accurate, even if the calculated stresses and deflections are sometimes higher. The datasheets are available from the download section of website.

Second, the datasets have received external validation.

We rely on our external partners to review and validate our datasets, which are based on direct measured values to EN 16613. The latest datasets are selectively verified on laminated glass using four-point bending to EN 1288, and a supporting paper is available upon request.

Third, a wider temperature range is now available.

The temperature range for Saflex® Clear (R-series), Saflex® Structural and Saflex® DM has been extended down to 10°C; therefore, any temperature between 10-60°C range is now selectable. Stacks of R-series and Structural are still restricted to a lower limit of 20°C and a maximum duration of one month.

One final note.

The units of the load types are now harmonized to (Pa, N/m and N) rather than before (kPa, kN/m and N).
