Sparklike now offers a free online IG Configurator, helping manufacturers quickly check if their insulating glass units are compatible with Sparklike Laser for accurate, non-invasive gas measurement.

Summary – Is Your IGU Structure Compatible with Sparklike Laser?

  • IGU structures vary – different glass types and configurations respond differently to Sparklike Laser measurement.
  • Sparklike IG Configurator is a free online tool that helps manufacturers check if their IGU structures are suitable for Sparklike Laser.
  • Developed with GED Integrated Solutions to provide guidance based on common glass types and measurement behavior.
  • How it works:
    • Select double or triple glazing
    • Choose glass types for each pane
    • Get instant compatibility results
  • Why it matters:
    • Helps identify when Sparklike Laser is a good fit for non-invasive gas measurement
    • Supports better planning and smarter investment decisions
    • Offers guidance on alternative options when needed
    • For double glazing, Sparklike Handheld may also be suitable

Not all insulating glass units (IGUs) are the same and not all of them can be measured using Laser technology. Sparklike Laser operates at a wavelength of 760nm (Near-Infrared light) what is an oxygen specific wavelength. That is why it is critical to verify compatibility before investing in a gas measurement solution.

To support this process, the company has developed the Sparklike IG Configurator, a free online tool designed to help you determine whether your specific IGU structure is suitable for measurement with Sparklike Laser devices. The tool currently has the most common glass types. If your glass type is not listed, please contact Sparklike.

A Tool to Eliminate Guesswork

The Sparklike IG Configurator was developed in collaboration with our North American distributor, GED Integrated Solutions. The tool is designed to help insulating glass manufacturers assess whether their IGU configurations are likely compatible with Sparklike Laser technology based on structure combinations and known measurement behavior.

While it operates using the most up-to-date methods and a database of commonly used glass types, it is intended as a guidance tool only and should not be considered a substitute for physical sample testing or other due diligence efforts.

How It Works

Using the tool is simple:

  1. Select your configuration – Toggle between double and triple glazing.
  2. Choose your glass types – Select the glass type for each pane.
  3. Analyze your setup – Click the button to see if your structure is compatible with Sparklike Laser.

You will instantly receive a result that helps you understand whether your unit configuration can be measured testing the glass with Sparklike Laser device.

Why Compatibility Matters

The Sparklike IG Configurator helps you make informed decisions early in the process. If your IGU structure receives a positive result, it indicates that Sparklike Laser could be a suitable solution for non-invasive gas measurement in your production. In cases where compatibility is not confirmed, it is a helpful signal to consider alternative configurations or to reach out to Sparklike experts for further guidance and reasons why the glass type needs validation.

For double glazed units, a structure that is not compatible with Sparklike Laser might still be measurable using the Sparklike Handheld, the compact and proven device for non-invasive argon testing.

This proactive check saves time and supports smarter investment decisions, ensuring that your measurement solution aligns with your product range and quality goals.
