The North American International Auto Show, opening to the global media on January 6, provides the ideal backdrop for the introduction of Vanceva(TM) Color, the latest innovation from Solutia Inc.

Solutia, the St. Louis-based specialty chemicals and materials manufacturer, producer of interlayers and films used for windshields and enhanced protective glass side, rear and roof windows. Vanceva Color, a new type of automotive glazing interlayer, will be featured on several concept and production vehicles to be revealed at the Detroit show, according to Victoria M. Holt, vice president and general manager of Solutia's Performance Films division. "Vanceva Color for automotive provides OEMs with the freedom to think beyond the traditional uses of automotive glass -- in this case, using glass as an integral design element," said Holt. "Without compromising the solar, security, sound and safety aspects of EPG and windshields, it provides OEMs with a unique way to differentiate brands through its glazing offerings."
