Flachglas Schweiz “High quality is the key to our success”

For more than 14 years now, this scanner has been a very important part of the local quality controls and has become an integral part of the insulating glass line. Following this positive experience, Flachglas Schweiz purchased further scanners.

“After we achieved perfect results with the first Quality Scanner, Viprotron installed two more Quality Scanners after our car washers!” said Mr. Rolf Kiener of Flachglas Schweiz. He has been managing these inspection projects all the years as responsible plant manager and today as machine purchasing manager, is totally convinced that a reliable quality control of high-quality insulating glass can only be carried out with the help of Quality Scanners.

New project: final inspection of the insulating glass

Flachglas has already taken the next important step towards an even better quality by ordering a Quality Checker for the final inspection of the whole IG units. Installed after the press of the Jumbo insulating glass line a final quality control will be realized at the end of all processes.

In addition to the detection of optical defects in the glass surface, the spacer position, the mounting bar straightness and the butyl will be checked before the insulating glass is dispatched.

Furthermore, a complete quality protocol can be supplied together with the IGU, which includes the quality information from the final Quality Checker inspection, but also contains the associated inspection results for each individual glass, generated by the Quality Scanner after the washing machine.

In the future, this will not only ensure high product quality until dispatch, but also the high product quality will be documented fully and automatically by detailed quality reports.
