TUROMAS Group at VETECO 2024

With an outstanding exhibition in Hall 10, stand E08, with its brands TUROMAS and Distecglass.

During the four days of the event, hundreds of industry professionals came to the Turomas booth to discover the technological innovations that promise to transform industrial processes in the glass industry.

Protagonists of Innovation at VETECO 2024

Among the innovations TUROMAS presented, the LAM 405 laminar cutting table. This model incorporated the following key technical features:

• New cutting and separating system: innovative glass cutting and separating system that reduces the cycle time of each cut by 10 seconds. This new system allows cutting with the butyral slightly heated to improve the final result.
• Ability to work with 10+10 thick glass: TUROMAS guarantees high quality cuts in laminated safety glass, such as those used in railings. This compliance meets the requirements of the Technical Building Code (CTE), allowing precise scratching, cutting and separation of glass up to 10+10 mm, without the need for additional processes.
• LAM-BA: Cutting of straight shapes and railings: A specific solution for cutting straight shapes in laminated glass, consisting of a positioning system with two mechanical stops that speed up cutting without the need for additional tools. These automatic stops allow the glass to be positioned and squared with high precision, making the most of the length of the piece.
• 1250 mm 4-span lamp: Includes a modular system of lamps encapsulated in the cutting head, which are switched on according to the length of each cut. Its modular design allows immediate replacement of one fused section with another on the bridge, without interrupting production. Depending on the model, the series supports configurations of 3, 4 or 5 spans of 1250 mm each, optimizing throughput.
• Software and interface: A system that offers usability and allows more intuitive process management, not only facilitates operation, but also increases efficiency in all cutting phases.
• Anti-blade breakage system: Ensures the durability and precision of the blades, minimizing the risk of interruptions and optimizing resources during the cutting process.

Distecglass and Sika: An alliance that left its mark

Distecglass, the newest member of the Turomas Group, made its debut at VETECO 2024 with a focus on technical advice and the supply of high-quality consumables. One of the highlights of its participation were the live demonstrations, carried out in collaboration with Sika, a benchmark in technical adhesives and sealants.

The twice-daily demonstrations allowed attendees to see first-hand how Sika’s products meet the demanding requirements of the industry, excelling in key areas such as strength, durability and ease of application.

A Raffle that Surprised the Attendees

To close the stand experience, Distecglass organised a raffle among visitors, the prize for which was a €500 travel voucher from El Corte Inglés. This initiative allowed us to strengthen relationships with current and potential customers.
