On the occasion of MECSPE 2026 (BolognaFiere, 4–6 March), Tecnest presents itself as an integral part of the Scm Group digital ecosystem, aimed at strengthening its technological offering dedicated to the manufacturing sector.

With 40 years of experience in developing solutions for production management and control, over 400 active customers in Italy and worldwide, and a team of around 90 professionals including consultants and developers, Tecnest represents a specialized competence center in manufacturing processes.
The partnership with Scm Group marks a strategic step forward: integrating machines, software, and consultancy into a single digital offering capable of addressing present and future challenges in industrial production.

WinMES: The Digital Brain of the Factory
Taking center stage at the exhibition will be WinMES, the Manufacturing Execution System and Operations Management solution developed by Tecnest and integrated into the SCM ecosystem.
WinMES is a native software solution that integrates production control and the entire machine fleet into a single “digital brain”, ensuring real-time visibility over production processes, supporting data-driven decision-making, and improving operational organization.
Through advanced dashboards and control tools, operators and management can continuously monitor production activities, intervening promptly and in a structured way when needed.

An Integrated, Plant-Centric Digital Ecosystem
One of the distinctive features of WinMES is its integration capability. The solution communicates natively with SCM machines and integrates with ERP systems, optimizers, CAD/CAM software, and third-party machines.
The approach, native and pre-configured for the wood sector, enables end-to-end management of the entire production ecosystem, activating a plant-centric production model in which the factory is at the core and all systems converge into a single digital environment.
The result is coordinated management of machines, software, and processes, with structured and continuous performance control.

More Than Technology: Process Consultancy
The Scm Group offering with Tecnest goes beyond the technological component. WinMES is supported by a dedicated team of process consultants who guide companies through a structured production digitalization journey. The objective is to develop internal competencies and strengthen the ability to manage the entire production organization.
The combination of machines, software, and consultancy represents a distinctive element of the SCM offering: a single strategic partner capable of supporting customers throughout their entire digital transformation journey.

A Concrete Response to Manufacturing Challenges
In an industrial context characterized by increasing complexity, demand variability, and pressure on delivery times, WinMES stands out as an enabling tool to increase productivity, improve process control, and enhance service levels.
The synergy between Scm Group and Tecnest further consolidates an integrated offering that combines technology, expertise, and strategic vision, placing the factory at the center of a competitive, performance-oriented digital ecosystem.

The appointment with the evolution of the connected factory is at MECSPE 2026.
