Specialist Glass Products has delivered on a bespoke requirement down at the O2 in London. The grand opening of ‘Mamma Mia! The Party’ took place last month, and we produced the extra-large panels for the entrance to the diner.

SGP was approached by the development team to fulfil this project in an extremely short timeframe, where we would usually have double the timeframe requested to finalise the order. SGP had five days to cut, polish, toughen and deliver the finished glass panels to London from our Huddersfield-based factory.

Andy Ross, of Ronan Developments Limited, said of the completed job: “I just wanted to say thank you to Specialist Glass Products for sorting this out at such short notice, which the client had to complete in double-quick time.”

The completed glass panels were 12mm toughened Pilkington optiwhite, size: 3200mm x 2900mm, and completed the front entrance to the ‘Mamma Mia! The Party’ diner located at the O2.

Andrew Taylor, Managing Director of SGP, added: “SGP is one of the only companies to produce toughened glass of this size, but we are really pleased that the company chose us and trusted us to fulfil this project for an iconic feature in such a short turnaround.”
