From July 16 to 18, the Citibanamex Centre in Mexico City will host a new edition of Glasstech Mexico, the most important event for the glass industry in Latin America.

For GRUPO TUROMAS, this year’s event holds special significance: it marks the official launch of operations of TUROMAS MEXICO, the group’s new branch in the country.

While TUROMAS has previously participated in Glasstech, this time the context is different. With an already active headquarters in Mexico City, the group is strengthening its commitment to a market that has shown steady growth in recent years, where technical and commercial proximity are now key success factors.

The new branch, located in the capital, will provide direct support to local customers. It will offer technical service, sales consultation, and immediate availability of machinery, spare parts, and consumables, from both TUROMAS and Distecglass—the group’s company specializing in consumable products for glass processing and transformation companies.

During the event, the teams from TUROMAS and Distecglass will be present at Booth D01, where visitors can discover the latest solutions in automation for flat glass processing, including cutting, loading, and storage, as well as a wide range of high-quality consumables and spare parts designed to optimize equipment performance.

As part of the exhibition, a RUBI 303VA automatic cutting table will be showcased live. This machine loads, cuts, and evacuates the glass from its own structure. Equipped with pivoting-arm suction loading system developed by TUROMAS and featuring integrated breakout as standard, it stands out for its precision, versatility, and performance. The RUBI 303VA is part of the RUBI 300 series, which includes eight models tailored to companies seeking efficient, compact solutions for automating the cutting of standard or jumbo-sized glass.

For Distecglass, Glasstech Mexico represents its first appearance as an exhibitor in the country. Alongside TUROMAS and TUROMAS MEXICO, it will help strengthen the group’s presence in both Mexico and the region, while also exploring new collaboration opportunities across Latin America.

Visitors to the booth will also be able to view some of Distecglass’s most representative products, including 10 mm seaming wheels, suction cups, spacers, measurement tools such as the Testoxy2, and EDTM systems for detecting coatings, thicknesses, and insulating glass units. In addition, two finished product models will be on display, demonstrating real-life applications of their solutions in windows and minimalist sliding systems.

Glasstech will also serve as the official stage for presenting TUROMAS MEXICO to customers, partners, and industry professionals. Throughout the event, tours and meetings will be organized with the local team to showcase the scope and ambition of this new chapter.

With over 40 years of experience, TUROMAS continues to grow. The opening of its branch in Mexico represents an important step in consolidating the group’s presence in Latin America and in building long-lasting relationships across the region.
