Faced with the current global COVID-19 health crisis and especially concerned for the health and safety of its international teams and partners, the Fenzi Group has had to carefully evaluate its participation in 2020 trade shows.

Only now, and very cautiously, are many countries emerging from the lockdown but the ongoing pandemic does not offer much insight into the coming months, making it difficult to foresee even the end of the year, when Glasstec, the industry’s leading trade show, is held in Dusseldorf.

The unpredictability surrounding possible developments in the pandemic and the technical planning and preparation required to organize such a major event in total security have forced the Group, in part through representatives of the Italian delegation, to state its preference for postponement of the event, an outcome that has already befallen many other international shows.

“Since the very beginning, our Group has consistently participated in Glasstec. We truly hope the organizers decide to postpone the show. Then, holding our hopes high that the COVID-19 crisis is resolved, we will be the first to confirm our participation on the new dates”, remarked Alessandro Fenzi, the Group’s CEO.

“The prospect of Glasstec being confirmed for 2020 and not participating in it has certainly made this a difficult decision for us, because participation in the show, our personal interactions with clients, understanding their needs and showing solidarity, is critically important for our business. Yet, we cannot underestimate the impact of the pandemic on our current operating procedures and we feel that, right now, there just isn’t enough time to start from zero to plan a new exhibit space that would guarantee the safety of our team and our business partners,” he continued.

While coping with this historic crisis, the entire Fenzi Group and its global branches – Alu Pro, Rolltech and Tecglass and the Glass Alliance network – have never stopped working. The manufacturing facilities have continued to operate with the same passion and commitment as always, managing to guarantee all-around non-stop service.

New projects and product development are still a priority for the Group, and its energy and resources have never wavered in support of the international glass industry – a large family of which Fenzi and the entire Glass Alliance network have always been and will always be an inseparable part.
