CMS at Glasstec 2024: continuously improving to better serve our customers

CMS Glass Technology is an industry leader in the field of flat and bent glass processing, with technologically advanced solutions such as horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers, cutting tables, seaming machines and waterjet cutting systems. CMS Glass Technology solutions are mainly applied in the architecture, interior decoration, aerospace, automotive and marine industry.

This year at Glasstec, CMS will showcase the latest machines launched on the market. These are two CNCs named taktika and electa, the horizontal dry seaming machine proxima and agil lam: the automatic cutting table for laminated glass.

Cms taktika is the new entry-level vertical working center from CMS, ranking as the most flexible in its category. It’s perfect for machining glasses from 320 x (h) 220mm up to 3.100mm x (h) 2.000mm. It’s designed to process both rectangular and shaped workpieces with at least one straight edge and can perform seaming, grinding, polishing, milling, drilling and countersinking. Cms taktika is equipped with one front- and one rear-magazine capable of accomodating 23 tool-holders in total. Its compact design allows for installation even under lower ceilings and it can connect with a washing machine to clean the glass.

Cms electa is the new compact 3/4-axis horizontal CNC with the smallest footprint and largest work area in its category. Electa is designed to perform seaming, grinding, peripheral- and cup-wheel-polishing, milling, drilling and countersinking, disc cutting, engraving, writing, and 5° bevelling operations. The machine’s Metal Synthetic Technology (MST) worktable, replacing the conventional aluminum one, dampens vibrations and enhances the finish and quality of the glass piece.

Agil Lam is an automatic cutting table for laminated glass. It has a super-simple user interface with an embedded optimizer to facilitate the operator's life and make it easy to use. The ergonomy of the table is remarkable and this is also aimed at improving the user experience. Agil lam can cut lami glass up to 8+8mm as a standard and be equipped with a low-e removal unit.

Cms proxima is the new semi-automatic horizontal dry seaming machine. It operates in seconds, with simultaneous residue extraction via a dedicated filtration system. Ideally paired with tilting float glass cutting tables or laminated glass cutting tables, it can be installed in less than a day and can seam sides up to 2600 mm long in one pass. Proxima’s design allows it to seam glass in multiple passes without any length limitation. 

CMS takika, eleca and agil lam feature the new CMS ACTIVE software interface, designed to simplify human-machine interaction and make the process super-efficient.

Moreover, CMS machines come with a 1-year free subscription to CMS Connect, the innovative industrial-IoT platform.
