BM Aluminium has seen an impressive 8% rise in customer numbers since the start of 2019 as the aluminium sector continues to defy sluggish market conditions.

The exclusive UK distributor of the LogiKal software system says that the increase is coming from both new and established businesses, and reflects the ongoing growth happening right across the board in aluminium.

Managing Director Dean Hodges has analysed the figures: “These new customers are in retail, trade and commercial markets and range from start-ups to big, familiar names. What they have in common is a desire to future proof their businesses by choosing a software solution which they know can accommodate even the most ambitious potential growth.

“The biggest shift we are seeing is in companies choosing LogiKal as an alternative to the proprietary software provided by their aluminium systems company. This is because LogiKal gives them the freedom they want to be able to switch effortlessly between systems as they diversify and take on other new products.

“With so many exciting new innovations coming to the market in aluminium, fabricators are telling us that they want to be able to put together their own product ranges without it impacting on their efficiency or service levels and LogiKal obviously enables them to do exactly that.”

Another key driver for many of these new BM Aluminium customers is the continuing market investment taking place in machinery. With no let up in the number of CNC machines being ordered, LogiKal continues to be the first choice software for providing all of the relevant machine links.

BM Aluminium is also currently benefiting from the number of new systems houses entering the UK market who are making their databases available to new customers within LogiKal. This includes Cortizo, who have just joined the long list of systems companies who BM Aluminium works with to create and support their products in databases.

Dean Hodges adds: “With such a large volume of new customers coming on board with us this year, we’ve focused on making the software installation experience as efficient as possible for us and for our customers. We’re carrying out more remote software installs than ever before and we’ve also created accessible and user-friendly training programmes so that new customers can be up and running quickly and easily.”
