“Crossing our fingers” was worth it. OKAfree and with it OKALUX have won Bronze in this year’s Architects‘ Darling Award 2021. OKALUX faced the jury of this award, which was presented for the eleventh time, for the first time.

1,800 architects confirmed it. OKAfree is top class. Together they voted the innovative product, and with it OKALUX, onto the winners' podium of this year’s Heinze Awards and presented it with the Architects‘ Darling Award 2021 in Bronze in the Daylight Systems/Roof Lighting category.

The award ceremony was held on 9 November at the traditional industry meeting “Celler Werktag” in the Lower Saxony town of Celle. At the gala evening of the event, attended by 300 manufacturers, Andrea Sammartano and Michael Lang, both sales managers at Heinze GmbH, announced the winners of the competition.

The decision was based on the currently largest industry survey of architects and planners, an analysis initiated by Heinze GmbH that takes place annually in the course of the award. In parallel, the expert jury composed of renowned representatives of international architectural firms, and media and communication experts, critically examined the products and portfolios of the entrants.

24 award categories made it possible to evaluate the submitted solutions in a targeted and detailed manner. The personal advice, the topic of sustainability and positive experiences with the brand were also included in the assessment.
