TUROMAS presents its €1.5 million investment project to the Government of Aragon and its application for Just Transition Funds and FITE funding.

TUROMAS, a company based in Rubielos de Mora that specialises in the manufacture of machinery for the storage, loading and cutting of flat glass, has presented its €1.5 million investment project to regional and provincial authorities for the first time, with the aim of consolidating its industrial growth and strengthening its production capacity.

The presentation took place during a recent visit to the TUROMAS facilities by Manuel Blasco, Minister for the Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon; Joaquin Juste, President of the Provincial Council of Teruel; Miguel Tellado, Secretary General of the Popular Party; and other local authorities, who learned first-hand about the company’s expansion plans.

The project, which is contingent upon obtaining aid from the Just Transition Fund and the FITE, envisages the construction of a new 2,000-square-metre industrial warehouse to house a new production line, as well as the modernisation of the offices, adapted to the needs of a company with international reach. The investment will increase production capacity, optimise industrial processes and strengthen coordination between the company’s various departments.

The investment plan also includes the creation of new companies within the TUROMAS group, in a clear commitment to diversification and the generation of industrial synergies. These include a new company dedicated to the manufacture of complementary glass and metal products, which will expand the group’s portfolio of solutions.

These actions are being carried out within the framework of TUROMAS’ recognition as a project of regional interest by the Government of Aragon, a distinction that highlights its strategic importance for the industrial, economic and technological development of the region, as well as its role as a driving force in the Gudar Javalambre region and a generator of skilled employment.

It is expected that 15 new direct jobs will be created and that there will be an increase in indirect employment for local service and manufacturing providers (electricians, machinists and auxiliary workshops), who may be forced to increase their workforce by 25-30% to meet growing demand.

With this initiative, TUROMAS reaffirms its commitment to the industrial structuring of rural areas, sustainability and innovation, while also committing to actively participating in the Aragon Government’s aid programmes, which have recently been modified to allow the inclusion of driving projects such as TUROMAS in the just transition funds and the FITE, thus ensuring that this plan can be fully implemented this financial year.
