Specialist toughened safety glass manufacturer TuffX often grabs the headlines for supplying the glass on high profile commercial projects, but its expertise is equally often called on for domestic projects.

This expertise was perfectly demonstrated in a recent project for a home in Chester.

The home’s owners needed glass for a balustrade and a Juliet balcony. Ultra Grey tinted glass was specified to give an understated, sophisticated finish that would blend in with the rest of the brick façade rather than being a focal point.

The installers turned to TuffX for help with the glass. The TuffX team recommended 10mm Ultra Grey tinted toughened balcony glass because that would provide the sleek finish the homeowner’s wanted as well as meet all the safety requirements.

TuffX supplied approx. 5m2 for the installer to fit and the result has given the residence the elegant, streamlined look the homeowners wanted while also making sure the occupants will be safe.

TuffX’s balcony glass range has been developed alongside world-leading glass manufacturers and its solutions are perfect for design-led, high specification projects in both the commercial and domestic sectors. Glass up to 19mm thick is manufactured to the BS EN 12150 standard using state-of-the-art engineering technology at the company’s Merseyside base.

As well as its specialist toughened glass expertise, the company is also renowned for its customer-oriented approach. This is demonstrated in its nationwide delivery service with a standard turnaround time of four to five working days, with an express service available on request.

So the next time you have a specialist glazing requirement, if TuffX isn’t already your first port of call, maybe it should be.
