The construction of a float glass manufacturing facility in Mkiu Village, Tanzania, is rapidly approaching completion, marking a significant milestone in the country's industrial development.

According to a recent report by Tanzania Daily News, the project has reached an impressive 90% completion rate.

The remarkable initiative is being spearheaded by the Sapphire Float Glass (Tanzania) Company Limited, owned by a Chinese investor Jack Feng. This ambitious project holds great promise for Tanzania's economic landscape, with several substantial benefits anticipated upon its successful operation.

The facility's manufacturing capabilities are equally impressive. Upon full operation, the factory will have the capacity to produce a staggering 700 tons of float glass, toughened glass, and mirror products per day at the first production line, with an additional 500 tons per day at the second line. This significant production capacity will not only cater to domestic demand but also position Tanzania as a key player in the global glass industry.
