NSG Group announced today that it has donated Spacia® vacuum glazing glass to the City of Ryugasaki, Ibaraki Prefecture as part of the company’s 100th anniversary.

Spacia® will be installed in the city’s central municipal library (16 sheets/about 27 square meters) and “Sansankan” parenting support center (26 sheets/about 37 square meters).

Launched in 1997 and manufactured at NSG’s Ryugasaki plant since May 1998, Spacia® vacuum glazing glass utilizes a unique vacuum technology. The donation of Spacia® is intended to create a comfortable space in the city’s frequently-used facilities.

About Spacia®

With a vacuum layer between the two sheets of glass, Spacia® vacuum glazing glass achieves twice the thermal insulation performance of a typical double glazing. Because of thin vacuum layers, the glass can be made to fit with the original frames when replacing windows.
