One of Northamptonshire’s leading installers has become the latest well-regarded firm to endorse tremco illbruck’s ground-breaking TP650 Trio window installation tape.

For 40 years, FENSA-registered Martindale Windows and Developments have been bringing a vast array of windows, doors and conservatories to homeowners throughout the Northamptonshire region.

But aside from the extensive choice it offers, it’s the company’s uncompromising commitment to quality that most sets the business out from the crowd – and it was that commitment that led it to inquire about state-of-the-art window installation tape.

“We’d been hearing more and more about TP650 Trio and silicone-alternatives in general over the past few years,” comments Martindale Director Russell Tarry.

“We were immediately intrigued by a product that claimed to offer the end-user much better performance than conventional installation methods – striving for excellence in everything we do is a key part of the Martindale ethos.

“But we’d also noticed customers becoming increasingly concerned with energy efficiency, and, in some cases, minimising their impact on the environment in recent years – all of which made TP650 a very appealing prospect.

“We were still a bit sceptical when the first box arrived. As good as the tape sounded, it was going to take a lot to trump a product as user-friendly as silicone. But as soon as we started using it, we were sold. It doesn’t just offer exceptional performance – it’s incredibly quick and easy to use, too.”

TP650 Trio is a compressed foam window installation tape. Once you remove the backing paper, the tape steadily expands to effectively seal all gaps and spaces between the frame and wall.

Impregnated with a flame-retardant resin, it’s extremely safe, and offers outstanding thermal efficiency, outstanding air-tightness and driving rain resistance of at least 600 PA.

It doesn’t just seal and protect corner joints from mould and fungi and significantly improve acoustic insulation – it also offers a consistently high-quality finish, something silicone can’t deliver. And, most importantly of all, it’s a breeze to fit.

“We’re delighted to see another superb installer become TP650 converts,” comments tremco-illbruck Product Manager David Naylor. “In an increasingly cost and environmentally-conscious age, I’m convinced that, before long, impregnated tape will be the industry’s default window installation product.

“If you’re interested in finding out more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
