HEGLA is expanding its portfolio by entering the field of wet glass machining through the acquisition of RS technology, strengthening its capabilities in advanced glass processing and automation solutions.

The HEGLA Group, represented by its managing directors Mr. Jochen H. Hesselbach and Mr. Bernhard Hötger, and the shareholder and managing director of RS technology, Mr. Friedrich Stimpfig, have signed an agreement whereby all limited partnership shares will be acquired by HEGLA.

In future, the company will operate under the name HEGLA-RS technology. The glass processing machines and water treatment systems will continue to be manufactured at the site in Fürth near Nuremberg.

This acquisition expands HEGLA's product range and will enable it to offer its customers additional high-quality machines and solutions for edge processing, drilling and milling flat glass, and dome cutting.

The RS technology, in conjunction with the HEGLA Group, will enable the company to offer complete and networked automation solutions and to draw on the HEGLA Group's international sales network.

We look forward to working with Mr. Stimpfig and the RS technology team, says Managing Director Jochen H. Hesselbach.

Friedrich Stimpfig explains that this decision has been a long time in the making and that HEGLA is an ideal and strong partner, offering not only an international presence but also securing long-term spare parts supply and fast service via the HEGLA network for our high-quality production equipment.
