Forterro announces the acquisition of Klaes, strengthening its presence in the European windows, doors, and façades software market.

Forterro, a leading European software provider for the industrial midmarket, today announced its intention to acquire Klaes, a globally recognised software specialist serving window, door, façade and conservatory manufacturers, many of whom operate at the heart of traditional craftsmanship combined with modern production.

Following last year’s acquisitions of Orgadata and BM Group, the addition of Klaes marks another important milestone in the expansion of Forterro’s Windows & Doors line of business, while also further strengthening Forterro’s presence in craftfocused manufacturing segments, which now represent more than 25% of the group’s overall footprint. The acquisition supports Forterro’s ambition to serve both industrial scale manufacturers and highly specialised craft businesses with software that respects materials, processes and knowhow built over generations.

Combining Expertise to Better Serve Customer Needs

By combining Forterro’s Logikal software (formerly Orgadata), widely used for aluminium-based configuration, with Klaes’ established ERP and configuration solutions for PVC and wood, Forterro will offer one of the strongest cross-material product portfolios in the industry. Together, these solutions support the full value chain from configuration and calculation to production and installation and help manufacturers of all sizes streamline workflows, optimise processes, and accelerate their digital transformation.

By joining Forterro, Klaes will gain access to Forterro’s AI-driven capabilities and advanced manufacturing workflows. Leveraging the complementary strengths of Klaes and Forterro’s broader technology ecosystem, customers can expect continued innovation, greater automation, and deeper data insight across their operations.

Klaes will continue to operate as a strong, independent brand within Forterro’s Windows & Doors business. Customers will retain full continuity of products and support, while benefiting from access to additional resources, a broader network, and an expanded foundation for future innovation. As part of Forterro, Klaes will harness AI-driven innovation to enhance its solutions and customer value, while scaling internationally through shared infrastructure, coordinated product development, and joint go-to-market initiatives.

Miriam Berzen, Managing Director of Klaes
“Joining Forterro marks an exciting next chapter for Klaes. For more than four decades, our mission has been to deliver innovative, reliable solutions that help manufacturers across the windows and doors industry stay competitive and future-ready. By becoming part of Forterro, we gain the scale, resources, and technological platform to accelerate this mission, while continuing to serve our customers with the same commitment and passion that have shaped our company since 1983.”

Dean Forbes, CEO of Forterro
“The acquisition of Klaes is another major step in our strategy to build one of Europe’s strongest software portfolios for the windows, doors, and façades market. With Orgadata, BM Group, and now Klaes under one umbrella, Forterro supports all major materials and production processes in this sector. Klaes brings deep expertise, a strong brand, and a loyal customer base that perfectly complements our offering. Together, we will drive AI innovation, expand international reach, and help manufacturers digitalise faster and more effectively than ever before.”

The acquisition has been signed and is now subject only to completion of regulatory approval reviews, which are expected to conclude in Q2 this year.
