Thanks to modernization by the architects Populous, The Barnes Center at The Arch offers the students of Syracuse University a variety of sports and wellness options.

In addition to a gymnasium, fitness center and swimming pool, primary health care is also secured here. The capillary system KAPILUX W, which incorporates a capillary slab within the glass cavity, provides even illumination throughout the gymnasium, reducing the need for artificial daytime lighting of any kind and increasing the well-being of athletes. It is furthermore a highly effective glass for the control of glare and in a way helps the athletes to keep the focus.
