More than just a trade show, this year’s edition promises to be a hub of innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration for the global glass industry.

What’s New and Noteworthy at Vitrum 2025

  • Reimagined Format
This edition transforms Vitrum into a full-fledged ecosystem, driven by four strategic pillars:
Exhibition, Innovation, Export, and Talks. Expect immersive displays of flat and hollow glass manufacturing, AI-driven automation, international business insights, and a packed program of expert sessions.
  • Local Industry Powerhouse
Over 200 exhibitors—30% international—will spotlight Italy’s robust glass sector, which boasts a €3.5 billion turnover and global leadership in production and exports.
  • Education Meets Industry
A central feature is the Vitrum Technology District, where top universities like Padua, IUAV, Politecnico di Torino, and others showcase advancements in AI, automation, and digital manufacturing.
  • Hands-On Learning
Masterclasses (e.g., on tempering, lamination, screen printing) and training sessions curated with VetroStrutturale and the Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro offer practical, in-depth insights.
  • Sustainability in Focus
Sustainability takes center stage with sessions on decarbonization, regulatory transitions, environmental standards (e.g., CAM), and energy audits.
  • Globe-Spanning Dialogues
Vitrum fosters cross-border innovation with "Country Focus" events—featuring Italy’s collaboration with markets like Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S., supported by ICE, GIMAV, and key institutions.
