The value of the investment amounts to USD 43.5 million.

The Management Board of Press Glass Group informs that its subsidiary - Press Glass, Inc. – has started preparatory works towards obtaining a building permit in relation to the decision issued and announced on July 30, 2018 by the authorities of the state of Virginia and Henry County, in cooperation with Martinsville Henry County Economic Development Corporation.

The decision applied to an approval of the application for locating a production plant with the area of 26,000 m2 (280,000 ft2) in the industrial park Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre.

A plot of ground with the area of 17.5 hectares (43 acres) was selected. It is situated at the border of the states of Virginia and North Carolina, only a few kilometres away from Stoneville, where the first plant of the Group in the USA and the head office of Press Glass, Inc. are located. Both plants will form an efficient and flexible system of links to mutually support their actions

It is expected that preparatory works will finish and building works begin towards the end of 2018. The estimated time of the plant commissioning is the end of 2019. The value of the investment, which will be supported with American grants, amounts to USD 43.5 million.

The plant will specialise in production of glass for public/commercial buildings and will be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. The expected workforce is to be about 200 people. The plant will gradually increase its performance and offered range to finally provide a full range of products demanded by the target market.  The plant in Stoneville will also be modernised.

All the activities are intended to provide the best service for customers who complete their investments in the states along the east coast of the USA and to gradually extend the sales coverage. It will be possible owing to the competences developed by Press Glass Group within glass processes through continuous improvement of the organizational culture. Now we want to offer the advantages to our clients in USA by supporting their brands.

Working in modern plants will require adequate knowledge and skills that we will share with our American staff. We believe that we will create valuable jobs which will bring added value for the development of local community.

The plant in the industrial park Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre will be the thirteenth glass processing plant of Press Glass Group, which holds shares in the extended Euroglas Polska glassworks, except for its glass processing plants. After the extension the glassworks will have two float glass production lines and its capacity will amount to almost 2000 tons of glass per day.

The Management Board of Press Glass would like to thank people, organizations and authorities from the state of Virginia, Henry County, and Martinsville in particular, who were involved in the project and friendly welcomed Press Glass representatives to the local community.
