Dow Corning addresses the Importance of Collaboration at Glass Days 2015

Date: 5 March 2015

The way in which members of the construction value chain cooperate is changing, with the emergence of integrated design – meaning architects, designers, engineers, contractors and material suppliers increasingly work together from the outset of a project.

Glass Days 2015 will see Dr Mikkel Kragh, Dow Corning’s Global Facade Engineering and Architectural Design Leader and Stig Mikkelsen of Mikkelsen Architects articulate exactly how early stage collaboration has and will continue to increase the value of design and performance in future construction.Their presentation will focus on an inspirational case study, Damesalen in Copenhagen, where collaboration has been pivotal in combining the challenges of achieving high performance through engineering expertise with innovative façade systems. An existing building, Damesalen is currently being transformed with an additional floor on top of a sports hall using customized glass solutions.

Glass Days will take place on 4th March at Niels Juel Pedersen. Dr Kragh and Mr Mikkelsen will present at 11.45 am.
