Viracon To Showcase a Wide Variety of Architectural Glass at AIA 2012

Date: 15 May 2012

Visit Viracon at Booth #3825 Owatonna, MN – Viracon, the nation’s leading single-source architectural glass fabricator, will feature some of its most popular coatings along with several innovative new product offerings at the AIA 2012 National Convention and Design Exhibition, May 17-19 in Washington, DC.

The Viracon exhibit will showcase a total of 25 different architectural glass products – a mixture of glass substrate colors, coatings and performance attributes that may compliment a variety of building projects. In addition to the products themselves, the Viracon booth will feature a high-definition video screen spotlighting its newest glass systems and high-profile projects. Finally, the Viracon team will staff the booth to assist visitors with questions they may have regarding their next building project.

This spring, Viracon launched three new products, all of which will be displayed and introduced for the first time at AIA 2012:

  • ClearPoint™ – An insulating point-supported glass system that increases the transparency of glass facades

  • VE-45 – A low emissivity coating that offers improved balance between visible light transmittance, solar control and enhanced U-values

  • CyberShield™ – A glass system specifically engineered to reduce the transmission of radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic radiation to prevent electronic eavesdropping.

“This year’s exhibit will be a visual treat,” says Kevin Anez, Director of Marketing for Viracon. “It’s all about the glass, its performance, and the unexpected designs to which it can contribute. And as always, we are looking forward to meeting with our architectural customers – an opportunity that we always appreciate.”

AIA’s 2012 National Convention and Design Exhibition, Design Connects, celebrates design as the synthesis of theory and practice. It credits the strength of the American Institute of Architects as a smart, strong and relevant collection of components – a unified whole with the aspiration to serve not just architecture but the broader goals of humanity.

Be sure to visit Viracon at Booth #3825 anytime during the three-day event. Also visit www.viracon.com to learn more about Viracon and its products prior to the show.
