VacuMax™ Vacuum Insulating Glass (VIG) by Vitro Architectural Glass uses two tempered lites of glass, a hermetic edge seal, a getter for long-term performance and nearly invisible micro-pillars to deliver exceptional thermal insulation in a slim, lightweight profile.

By creating a vacuum space similar to conditions found in outer space, VacuMax™ VIG helps limit heat transfer because there is little for heat to travel through. The result is advanced insulating performance, with center-of-glass R-values up to R20 and U-values as low as 0.05, outperforming traditional triple-pane systems.
