Şişecam Otomotiv A.S. invests in further LineScanners

Şişecam Otomotiv A.S., is one of the leading flat glass manufacturers in Europe  and measured by production capacity the fifth largest flat glass producer in the world. Numerous innovations originate from Şişecam, with which the company has left a lasting mark on the development of the flat glass industry in the long term.

The company has relied on LineScanners from Softsolution for many years and has recently invested again in two horizontal LineScanners for the detection of specially applied defect markings. The two LineScanners are each 2900mm wide and were positioned after cutting to check unwashed slices for their defect marks. Currently, Şişecam operates in the flat glass sector with 10 production facilities in six countries, supplying the construction, furniture, energy and household appliance industries with an ever-expanding range of products.
