The sixth Softsolution LineScanner and first LiteSentry Osprey mark a major investment in next-level quality assurance on the new tempering line.

Precision Glass Industries has taken another step forward in its mission to deliver uncompromising quality by installing a Softsolution LineScanner and LiteSentry Osprey on its brand-new tempering line. This installation marks the company’s sixth LineScanner and its first-ever Osprey, representing a milestone in Precision Glass’ continued investment in advanced inspection technology.

The Softsolution LineScanner, positioned ahead of the furnace, ensures early and proactive quality control. By detecting edge chips, surface defects, and dimensional deviations before glass reaches the furnace, Precision Glass minimizes rework, reduces waste, and improves process efficiency.

On the opposite end of the furnace, the LiteSentry Osprey provides final quality validation. Each pane is meticulously inspected for optical distortion, anisotropy, roller wave, and other critical parameters. This final assurance step gives Precision Glass — and its customers — confidence that every product shipped meets the highest standards.

Quote from Mr. Abdeali Karimjee:

“Pairing the LineScanner with the Osprey is a game-changer for us,” said Abdeali Karimjee of Precision Glass Industries. “The LineScanner helps us catch issues early, and the Osprey provides the final validation. Together, they create a smarter, more efficient workflow that guarantees the quality our customers expect..”

The combination of proactive inspection before the furnace and final assurance after it not only optimizes furnace performance but also sets a new benchmark for quality consistency. This dual approach reflects Precision Glass’ commitment to investing in technology that strengthens its operations while delivering maximum value to its customers.

LiteSentry-Softsolution supported the installation and highlighted its impact: “We’re proud to partner with Precision Glass as they continue raising the bar for quality,” said Nate Huffman, Eastern Regional Sales Manager at LiteSentry-Softsolution. “This installation demonstrates the power of combining our LineScanner and Osprey systems — giving manufacturers both the confidence and the control they need to excel in today’s demanding market.”
