GPD is currently fine-tuning its concept to correspond to the ‘new normal’ and ‘beyond’.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many education and commercial events around the world to be postponed or cancelled. Event organizers have been forced to go back to the drawing board to produce new ways for executing their events. Glass Performance Days is no exception. GPD is currently fine-tuning its concept to correspond to the ‘new normal’ and ‘beyond’. We will inform you about our plans for the next event soon.

As you may already know, the  originator and longtime GPD chairman – Mr. Jorma Vitkala, has retired this September from his duties as a Chairman of the Organization Committee. However, he will support the GPD team on a consulting role of Senior Advisor. Due to this, the GPD has recruited a new member to reinforce its background team.

Mr. Marko Mökkönen has joined GPD as a Conference Manager. Marko has a solid background from the glass industry where he has worked for several glass processing and technology companies.
