WORTHINGTON, OH – Glass America, a leading national automobile glass repair and replacement company, is proud to announce that their service center in Worthington, OH has received AGRSS validation (Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards).

The AGRSS validation program certifies that windshield replacement companies comply with industry standards for quality and safety.

Many consumers are not aware of the safety factors surrounding proper windshield installation.  The windshield deflects the airbag during a collision and supports the vehicle’s roof during a roll over. The windshield is the second most important safety device in a vehicle after the seatbelt.

What Is AGRSS Validation?

AGRSS Registered auto glass shops are grouped into geographical clusters, and are then chosen to be audited through a random sampling so that all clusters have the same chance of being selected. The independent AGRSS validator comes out to the location, meets with the business owners, and reviews records, storage conditions of adhesive products, and each technician’s installation methods. The technicians are checked to see if they follow proper product guidelines such as the required length of time to shake a product, how long it takes to dry and set, etc. If the center meets all of the standards, and are 100% compliant with the regulations, then they are deemed AGRSS-validated.

“I’m proud of us, this recognizes the hard work that we do every day,” explains Chris Hanson, Manager and Certified Auto Glass Technician in Glass America’s Worthington location at 640 H Lakeview Plaza Boulevard.  “The AGRSS validation shows our customers that their safety means everything to us. It also shows that we’re willing to put ourselves on the line, and put our knowledge and skills to the test, so that we can be a part of the industry’s national standards.”
