Freefoam has announced it has made a successful transition to a more advanced and robust stabiliser. The new stabilising technology is capable of forming the basis of Freefoam’s formulations for the foreseeable future.

Freefoam’s ground breaking extended 20 year transferable guarantee will be available on all white profiles from July 1st in addition to its standard 10 year guarantee.

As a result of comprehensive product testing already completed Freefoam is also able to offer an extended 10 year guarantee on all colour profile. This is 10 more years than any other roofline supplier offers on colour profile. As the results of extended weather testing on its colours become available Freefoam will continue to review the period of its guarantee with the aim of extending it to longer periods. “We are keen to extend the guarantee of colour profile, but we are always prudent and cautious and will only extend it as confirmation of its performance under a wide range of climates and weathers becomes available,” explains managing Director Aidan Harte.

Freefoam’s range of foiled woodgrain products is included in an enhanced 10 year guarantee offering. These products are manufactured with market leading Renolit EXOFOL MX foil incorporating its Solar Shield Technology (SST). SST offers built-in sun reflection which reduces heat absorption, thus minimising profile temperature and expansion.

In addition, Freefoam is pleased to announce that it can now enhance its online guarantee registration system to offer guarantee certificates on all products including coloured profiles. Customers not availing of the online registration system to obtain a certificate will still obtain the standard 10 year guarantee on all products.

The colour guarantee is backed by Freefoam’s innovative Colormax™ technology which provides ground-breaking colourfastness, colour variety, and colour matching. By using a proprietary formulation that contains a unique selection of stabilisers and pigments specially chosen for their high colourfastness properties, Freefoam can confidently offer a wide range of colours.

Freefoam’s research and development programme is working on extending the current guarantee period well beyond 20 years. “We are really excited about the progress Freefoam’s colour technologists are making,” Aidan Harte commented. “The strong trend in the market is towards colour. In the UK it is now just over 20% and in Ireland is comfortably over half the market, so colour is increasingly important to the whole market. Some years ago we took the decision to specialise in colour technology in roofline, cladding and rainwater, enabling us to lead the market in the UK, Ireland and Europe. Now we are on the brink of a major breakthrough which will enable our customers, installers and specifiers to use colour in a more adventurous and bold way with complete confidence. It is a real breakthrough.”
