From the success of Vitrum 2025 to a full international trade fair calendar. Interview with Managing Director Matteo Padovan.

The Vitrum 2025 trade fair once again proved to be an important international showcase for presenting cutting-edge innovations and top-quality solutions for the glass industry.

At the heart of the Milan exhibition, Fenzi Group stood out for its ability to combine technology, research, and sustainability, offering high-value-added solutions that meet the increasingly complex needs of the glass industry.

With a strong presence in the world’s key markets and a range of technologies developed to address the specific needs of each geographical area, Fenzi Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to international trade fairs across all continents.
The first part of the year has been marked by highly successful events and will continue with a calendar of top-level appointments designed to ensure participation in the most significant industry gatherings. Among these are Vitrum, China Glass, Glass South America, GlassBuild America, Glass Expo West 25, Glass Texpo 25, Glasstec Asia, Glass-Tech Poland, Zac Glass, Mir Stekla, Saudi Glass, Big Five, Windorex Cairo – all fundamental opportunities to present the Group’s technologies and latest innovations.

We met with Managing Director Matteo Padovan to discuss strategies, innovation, and future challenges.

Q: Fenzi Group is known for its consistent participation in international trade fairs. What does attending these events mean for you?
Matteo Padovan: Trade fairs remain a unique opportunity to meet partners, customers, and industry professionals, but above all to work together with all players in the glass industry to understand market needs and prepare for the future with increasingly innovative solutions. Our simultaneous presence in very different markets reflects the truly global dimension of Fenzi Group: we operate in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, and our internal synergy allows us to adapt technologies to the specific evolutions of each market while staying true to the values that have guided us for over 80 years.

Q: You often talk about “tailor-made” technologies for specific markets. How does this approach take shape?
Matteo Padovan: Our experience in very different contexts has taught us that innovation can never be “one fits all.” Some solutions are developed to respond to local environmental, regulatory, or production requirements; however, what we develop in one market can often be adapted and replicated elsewhere, becoming a best practice at a global level.

Q: What are the common themes that connect such diverse markets and products?
Matteo Padovan: Efficiency, automation, high performance, and sustainability: these are the four pillars that underpin all our activities, alongside the superior quality of our products and the service we provide to our partners. Whether it’s new sealants, coatings for the construction sector, solutions for the automotive industry, or other applications, every innovation is designed to ensure greater durability and reliability.

Q: Looking ahead, how do you see Fenzi Group evolving in the coming years?
Matteo Padovan: We will continue to invest in research and development and to strengthen our dialogue with all players in the glass industry. International trade fairs are an opportunity to showcase the results of our work but also to listen to the market and gather new ideas. Our goal is to grow together with our customers, bringing innovation wherever glass is transformed.
