UA Glass bought not only a Fit Line for IG units from LiSEC, but also invested in software, namely LiSEC GPS.order and GPS.prod for the office.

UA Glass, a family business based in Norwich, East Anglia, UK, was established 1997 by Neil Tomlinson and became a limited company in 2003.

Currently UA Glass has 37 employees at two sites. Tomlinson’s daughters Leila and Anna both work in the office, managing administration and customer relations.

The UA Glass product range includes IG units, coloured lead lights, beveled units, specialist IG and special products like splashbacks and ultra-thin units.

Among their newest products is 3 mm toughened glass for the production of 10 mm thick toughened heritage units (IG units put into old frames or new complete window sets in heritage look).

Tomlinson: “We are experts in the field of ultra-thin Sashlite IG units - no one else in the UK can deliver a 10 mm toughened IG unit incorporating softcoat. This will open up a complete new area of the market both here in the UK and Europe”.

Tomlison’s daughter Leila is Office Manager and was responsible for the software installation at UA Glass.

The cooperation with LiSEC started 2013. UA Glass bought not only a Fit Line for IG units from LiSEC, but also invested in software, namely LiSEC GPS.order and GPS.prod for the office.

Tomlinson: “Our Sales order processing and optimisation software was a DOS product that was very limited and offered no future development or support. LiSEC supplied a full solution for office administration and production. LiSEC software has improved the production flow in the factory greatly – it is unique now. In the office they also see a big improvement in the amount of missing units or missing paperwork.”

To the question what makes LiSEC unique in the market, Tomlinson has a clear answer: “LiSEC provide a complete combined solution for machinery and software products, which we can see is becoming more and more important. What I appreciate most is definitely the brilliant service for machinery and software and the ease of communication”.

UA Glass has expansion plans for the entire business since strong growth is projected. Steady trading conditions mean they can build for the future and develop and produce their new 10 mm toughened heritage unit.

Tomlinson knows that he invested in the future: “We now have a solid software system that can grow with us and meet the company’s needs in the future. Also worth considering is the fact that LiSEC Software has the reassuring stability of the LiSEC company behind it. When choosing a software partner, it’s important to consider long term business plans and make sure suppliers will be around in the future to maintain and develop systems.”
