Chinese Fuyao Glass opened the production of auto glass in Kaluga

Chinese Fuyao Glass Industry Group, the world's second producer of automotive glass after Asahi Glass Co., opened a plant in Kaluga on September 7th, the construction of which began about two years ago.

Capacity of the first line is 1 million sets of automotive glass per year, it will be tripled for two years, the CEO of “Fuyao Glass Rus”, Chen Chutsin informed the newspaper “Vedomosti”.According to her, the total cost of the project is about EUR 300 million. President of Fuyao Glass Industry Group, Cao Deva, said that in the future the company may also consider the production of float- glass in Russia (it is used in insulating glass units).
